The information previously reported to the credit bureaus will be updated with the name "CAP1/KOHL’S DEPARTMENT STORE" and the credit bureaus will continue to receive updates based on your ongoing account performance. Even though this is not a new account, if you currently use credit monitoring services, they may send you a new account alert due to the name change to CAP1/KOHL’S DEPARTMENT STORE, but please know this is the same account information and open date.
All active Kohl’s Card holders will be transitioning to the Capital One account management platform by March 2025.

If you're enrolled in paperless, those settings will automatically transfer when you set up your new online account. However, after February 24, you'll receive paper statements until you set up your new account. If you don't set up your online account by June 23, 2025, you'll have to update your account settings to switch to paperless when you do. If you changed your settings and unenrolled from paperless prior to February 21, your paperless settings will not carry over.
Please see the Change in Terms letter you received in the mail from Capital One for more information regarding your account. Your first Capital One statement will also contain this information. You may also contact Customer Service at 888‑647‑1712.

There have been a few payment-related changes:
Payment cutoff time: Payments made by mobile, online or over the phone by 8 p.m. ET, Monday–Saturday, will be credited to your account on the same day. Mail payments received by 5 p.m. local time at our processing center will be credited to your account on the same day. Payments made on a Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s Day may not be credited on the same day. However, if your payment due date falls on a Sunday or one of these holidays, then payments made on that date will be credited as of that date. Payments in any other form may not be credited as of the day we receive them.
Online: You can make online payments through Capital One’s website or mobile app. If you currently make payments to Kohl’s from your Online Banking account, you can continue to do so by re-entering your credit card number and payment address. Please make sure to use the address on the front of your first new statement, and note your account number is located on the bottom of the remit coupon if you need it.
Mail: Your statements have a new design and a new payment address. Your mailed statement will include a pre-addressed envelope for your payment. Send all payments to Capital One at the address printed on your statement using the enclosed payment coupon with one check only (no cash). Please also avoid staples, tape or other documents.
Phone: The servicing phone number has changed, along with some changes to the menu options. Please use the number on the back of your card.
In store: Payments made at Kohl’s stores may be accepted as a courtesy. Payments may not be credited the same day they are received.
If you had set up automatic monthly payments to pay balances on your card in the old online servicing system, those settings and scheduled payments should have transferred to your new Capital One account. A letter was sent in the mail explaining the specifics. However, if for any reason your automatic payments did not transfer, you will receive a separate email and letter in the mail informing you.
If you are the primary account holder and your Kohl’s Card information was previously stored in your Kohl’s Wallet at Kohls.com, your account has automatically updated to your new Kohl’s Credit Card and is ready to make online purchases. Authorized users on the account, however, need to update Kohls.com with all card information.
For those of you in the 1/3 Interest Program, you will be able to avoid interest on new purchases by paying 1/3 or more of your statement balance each month. Any remaining balances will impose interest charges as noted in the Change In Terms document provided to you.
As part of the move to Capital One, payments must now be made in U.S. dollars from a U.S. deposit account. If you have been making payments by mailed check from a Canadian deposit account, which were accepted as a courtesy, going forward, these payments need to come from a U.S. deposit account with a U.S. routing number. Some Canadian Banks offer cross-border accounts that will meet this criteria—allowing you to pay from a Canadian-based U.S. dollar checking account. Otherwise, payments made at Kohl’s stores may be accepted as a courtesy. Payments may not be credited the same day they are received. Also, if you are a Canadian resident and have electronic AutoPay set up with funds taken from a Canadian deposit account, that feature has been canceled as of February 24, 2025. You will need to re-set up an AutoPay series with a U.S. deposit account, or make payments from another payment channel using a U.S. deposit account as noted above.
Please be advised that Kohl’s is in the process of reissuing cards. You may receive a new card even if your account has been recently closed. If your account has been closed, you will be unable to activate or use the newly reissued card. We would like to personally invite you to provide us the opportunity to serve you once again. Should you wish to open an account in the future, you may apply at any Kohl’s store location or apply online.
